My word of the week, this week, can be summed up by my favourite mug:
Yes, I am quite literally exhaustipated! (so what if it's not a real word). I think the everyday chaos, and mundane, has literally worn me out.
For the first time in many years, I didn't do the school run today! It did mean Mr. Ojo taking the car the 200 yards, to the school, but I didn't care, I just wanted to lie down. I've struggled to keep my eyes open, there is honestly not enough coffee in the world, right now.
It's seems that either the dog, or the youngest child, will dive into the bedroom at some point during the night. It's got to the point where, even if they don't, I don't sleep well. My brain has been conditioned to expect the chaos!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
If it's not cheating, I'd also like to add another word:
As the Autism Awareness week draws to an end, I'd like to remind people not to judge what you don't know. You never know what the parent of any child is going through, but the parent of a child with additional needs, or difficulties, are going through 10 times more.
Be kind, think of others, be aware.
What word sums up your week?
I hope it's a good one.
hahaha! I love that mug and the word!
ReplyDeleteGood on you for not doing the school run. Sometimes you just need a day off.
That is so right. People shouldn't judge. x
It really was the laziest day one had in a VERY long time x
DeleteI think I need a mug like yours! Love it! I can remember those nights when my kids were young and I got very little sleep vividly. The kids do grow older and need you less and less. It's exhaustipating now, but worth it! :)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately he's 11,i really hope he does grow out of it! x
DeleteIt's not a word? It should be. It's amazing how soon the body gets used to a routine of being woken up and does it all by itself. I hope the break from routine helped. #wotw
ReplyDeleteOn the countdown to Easter hols, that will help! lol x
DeleteWhat an utterly brilliant word, one I could use often. I hope you've caught up with some rest now. And two words are allowed, especially when it's awareness. Thanks for linking up to #wotw and I hope you are not feeling so exhuastipated by Monday xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm trying to catch up on some rest x
DeleteI can relate to this word too ! If it's not the kids waking me up during the night it's the cat. I've taken to waking at 3am and being wide awake for about an hour before I can go back to sleep. Hope you've had a restful weekend x
ReplyDeleteThank you, the joy of parenting, wouldn't have it any other way lol x
