This is our last week of Easter holidays, the children go back on Monday. This marks the end of the teens secondary school life, just 5 full school days, then onto exams! That will be two of my children no longer in full time education, although both have/are going on to further education.
Because of all this, we planned on having a quiet week, however, this weeks word is:
We just don't seem to have stopped!
After the drama of Easter Sunday, which you can read about here, there's been a lot of foot soaking.
My mam has given us her foot spa now, so he's having his salt water in there. He still won't look at his feet though!
The actual day was lovely. We had my mam, and my eldest son, for dinner. Just spending time, together, is a joy.
We've also been out suit shopping, ready for teen sons prom. He's picked such a stylish look, I'm so proud of him for going with what he wants, not what others are having. He has tried it all on for us, and looks absolutely stunning. I'm not going to share the picture I took, because I'm going to keep it until the actual day of the Prom.
Then the biggy, going to see Avengers Endgame. We are so lucky to have a fabulous, five screen, cinema, in our local town. We didn't go the the midnight showing (my 21 year old did, with his girlfriend), but we went to the 11.45am showing, Thursday. You'll get no spoilers from me, I detest people that do that, all I'll say is: WOW. If you're a fan, or just a fair weather watcher, you will love this film. It is a perfect ending to 10 years of The Avengers.
Unfortunately, due to having so much on, we've had to leave the dog home alone. So today, Friday, we did not leave the house (except for a dog walk, but I've done them everyday). I think my dog missed me:
Not the most flattering picture of me, but he is literally squashed up to my face here! He has barely left my lap today, drinking coffee has been a challenge.
So that's us, done and dusted, for Easter. It's been full of fun, and drama!
Next week the children go back to school, my house can be cleaned again (I can't clean when Ajax is home, he can't cope with the noises or smells), and routine can return.
How has your week been?
Do you have a word that sums up your week?
