This is perfect time for me to write this, to put it simply, I'm exhausted! I think we've had lot on our plate recently and I genuinely feel like I'm chasing my tale, trying to keep up. I think I'm desperately in need of the Easter, end of term, school break.
This past few months I've really changed my attitude to life, just to be happy with whatever happens, accepting that life isn't perfect, but we can learn from the bad times. Basically, I'm grateful for everything that happens, good or bad.
So, what has made me smile, this week?
1. Mother's day. I was so very lucky, not about the gifts, although they were awesome, but getting to spend time with my boys. It's only really Sunday that I get to spend with them all, because the biggest one has his own place and is a very busy, and hard working, boy man. Mother's day with my boys (and my mam), with dinner cooked for me, totally wonderful and all I need.
2. A supportive Hubby. I've shouted his praises often, on this blog, but just this evening, he showed his love again. Like I said, I'm exhausted (to the point of unexplained tears), so tonight, without asking, he has given me a heavenly foot massage. This September, we've been together 30 years, this is why we are still together, the little things.
3. I asked Ajax what had made him happy, this week (seeing as it's Autism Awareness week, why not involve him?). It turns out it's our new TV! It's a smart telly, not an expensive one, but it does the job. He's loved this evening, watching some films and old TV programmes. We've also enjoyed mirroring the screen:
So, have you had something that's made you smile, this week?
Let me know, let's share the smiles.

DeleteWe also have a relatively new smart tv but I've never heard of mirroring the screen. I'll have to google it. And I agree, having your family around you and dinner cooked by someone else is all you need.
ReplyDeleteYou will have to check the instructions, it's brilliant! x
DeleteLove the pic of Ajax and I didn't know that Smart TVs could do that! We have old school TV here. Looks like a lovely relaxing Mother's Day, and great that everyone showed their appreciation of everything you do, you really deserve it xx
