Word of the Week:

This weeks word is definitely:

After, what has seemed, a chaotic couple of months (that was actually last weeks word!), this week has been all about recharging our batteries.

The old saying 'you can't pour from an empty cup' has felt very relevant lately. I have found myself bursting into tears over the silliest of things, not because I'm down, but because I'm exhausted.

With everything that has been going on with Ajax, particularly in school, it's been mentally draining as much as anything else. I don't do well with any sort of confrontation, so having to go to the school and explain the problem was hard for me. I will fight for my boys, all day every day, that doesn't mean I don't find it hard! Mostly I rant say my piece to the Mister, then he goes and deals with it.

I guess my anxiety always makes me think the worst will happen.

So, besides the house work, dog walking, school runs and a day of ironing today, it's been about chilling. We've treated ourselves to a cuppa and cake, from our favourite local cafe, we've watched movies together, just tried to relax in general.

The last two days we've had Ajax home from school, his poor tummy has played up something rotten, because we don't know it he has an upset tummy, or it's something to do with his problems, we have to keep him home. Don't want him unwittingly passing a stomach bug around.

Even that has been relaxing though, we spent time doing puzzles from a magazine and had a little drive. Today he's mostly hidden himself in his bedroom, hence getting the ironing done, can't risk that when he's around, in case he bumps the board while stimming.

~~~~~~~~~~
You can tell I'm chilled...........I'm up past 9pm!
(Although Mr. Ojo is falling asleep in the chair next to me!)
Do you have a word, that sums up your week?
  1. I'm so glad you've had a chilled week to recharge your batteries, it really is needed sometimes. I hope Ajax is feeling better real soon. I have the same issue with my daughter, not knowing if her bad stomach is due to her condition or she has a tummy bug. I hope you are having a relaxed weekend too. Thanks for linking up to #Wotw xx
    1. To be fair, he was fine the next day, which makes me believe it was not a bug, but we have to be sure. Thanks for hosting! x
  3. So true about an empty cup. I'm glad you have taken time to relax and recharge. I hope your visit to the school went well. I'm a terrible overthinker, especially true if I can't go and sort something out straight away. Here's to an easier week for you. #wotw
  4. Sometimes you just need a week like that don't you. I have a tendency to worry about confrontation, I think lots of people do so well done for facing the situation and I hope things improve soon for Ajax x
