Again, I've fallen out of the loop of blogging, lost my mojo a bit. Nothing really wrong, just life getting in the way of a calm brain, which I personally require for writing!
Anyhoo, back to the Tag. The lovely Sally, at Teddy Bears and Cardigans, tagged me to take part, and it felt like the perfect way to write something.
So here goes:
What's your favourite Christmas Movie?
I guess it doesn't feel like Christmas until I've watched 'A Christmas Carol', the one with George C Scott being my favourite. Other than that, it's The Santa Claus series, with Tim Allen, really love those movies!
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
I remember having lots of snowy winters as a child, but I don't really remember if any of the actual Christmases were white.
Where do you usually spend your holiday?
At home, it's always been at home. I don't believe in making my children leave their presents, on the day they have them. Christmas is for children! As mine are getting older I'm cherishing these days more and more.
What is your favourite Christmas song?
I love Christmas, so it's easier to name one I don't like! I don't think it's Christmas until I've heard 'I wish it could be Xmas every day' or 'fairytale of New York'. Also, of course, there's got to be a bit of Cliff Richard! I also love 'Santa baby'...........honestly I could go on and on!
Do you open any presents Christmas Eve?
The only thing my children get Xmas eve is PJ's, if Santa thinks they've been good enough! I think once of twice the hubby and I may have opened one, but I don't do it any more. I love the magic of Christmas day too much!
Can you name all of Santa's Reindeer?
Dasher, Dancer, Donner, Blitzen, Cupid, Comet, Prancer, Vixen. Oh, and Rudolf of Course!
(I really do love Christmas)
Which holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?
We always used to Cwtch together and read 'The night before Christmas' but my children are getting older now, they don't really appreciate it as much! Other than that, it's just spending the day together.
Is your tree real or fake?
Fake, I don't have room for a real one, my fake one is a tall slim one. I usually have a real one outside, but we kept forgetting to pick one up this year!
What is your favourite holiday treat/food/sweet?
I'm not a fan of traditional Christmas fare, I don't like the fruity bit! I do love my Xmas dinner, we are skipping Turkey, I eat it all year around anyway. This year it will be stuffed chicken (Mr. Ojo's homemade stuffing), roast beef and all the trimmings. Oh, and super noodles for Ajax!
Be honest, do you prefer giving, or receiving gifts?
I used to prefer receiving......until I had children! Now the joy comes from them.
What's the best Christmas present you ever received?
It was a day late..........but my 1st son! He was born on Boxing day and been Christmas mad, like his mum, ever since!
Are you a pro Christmas wrapper or do you fail miserably?
I'm a Pro! Me and Mr. Ojo do it all together, and we have it nailed!
Most memorable Christmas moment?
I have 2! One was the first proper Christmas with the Mister, we were awake at 5am, watching A Christmas Carol, opening our presents. We were living in a freezing cold bedsit, but it is such a wonderful memory.
2nd memory is the Christmas my eldest was born, walking the wards with my mum to try and get things moving, while the nurses sent my hubby home to rest?! Yeah, because HE needed the rest.
What made you realise the truth about Santa?
What truth? What are you talking about?
What makes the holidays special for you?
Oh, where do I start? The happiness it brings, the joy of Christmas baking with Mr. Ojo, the gift giving, the family time, the lights........I love Christmas, I can't stop at one thing!
I'm not going to tag anyone else, because this has been around the block, but if you want to join in feel free.
What makes Christmas special for you? The way we celebrate Christmas has changed over the years, because of autism, but it's still the most wonderful time of the year for me.
