Am I ready?

This page has always been all about me, my life. My life at the moment is all about me! My children are growing, my youngest tends to look to my husband more than me, he is a true daddy's boy!

This means I can finally (in between appointments and school phone calls) think of getting myself fit. Which brings me to the point of today's post.

Am I ready to start running?

I've always sworn off it. My body (boobs in particular) would give me a rousing round of applause if I ran. However, I have the gear now, thanks to Zumba, and my fitness levels are constantly improving. I go to the gym daily, usually an hour on the exercise bike, along with some weights and planks. 

Now, here comes the dilemma: I'm still a big girl, and although I really don't give a crap about peoples opinion of me, I don't like the idea of being laughed at!

I detest the running machine, it's boring and hurts my ankles. So outdoor running is the only way I could do it? I mean, it's the next step isn't it? 

I want to keep my fitness levels rising, but am I really ready?

  1. I don't think anyone will laugh. If they do ignore them. You are improving your life and fitness. The only reason I don't run is because there is no where to around here unless you want to run the streets jumping over the dog Good luck x

  2. Run if you want to, don't let other people put you off. If you hate it, then stop and try another form of exercise. I haven't tried running yet, I hated it in school! I'm going to build my fitness on the exercise bike first and then see where I go from there!
