My, Very Simple, Life Hack

Now, I am under no illusions, I am a big girl. I've nearly always been rather large, and I possibly always will be a 'fuller figured' lady. I'm learning to accept my body shape, thanks in part to my lovely 'pods'.

I still have days where I wish I had the willpower and strength to work harder. The only person that can change that is me.

I'm happier, stronger, and more confident than I've been in a long time though. Which is why I want to change my style up a little. I want to put in more effort, on a day to day basis.

One thing I've been buying more of, is skirts. I have a very testosterone filled house which, quite possibly, makes me even more girly than I already was!

Last year I came up with a way to overcome the major problem big girls in skirts have:

Yes, all you big girls know what I'm talking about, don't you? When your thighs get all sweaty and rub together (TMI? Tough! It happens).

It is one of the simplest hacks EVER.

Cycle Shorts:

Cheap, easy to find, cycle shorts.

Honestly!! I now have a pink pair, 2 white pairs and 2 black pairs, and I shall be investing in more for this summer.

You wouldn't think twice about buying some spanx, to hold in all your wobbly bits, when you're going out. So why not invest a little, so you can dress how you like, during the day.

I've shared this idea with others, who have been surprised at how simple an idea this is. This is why I figured it was time to share it with the rest of the world.

So, if you like wearing skirts, go for it.
Then spread the word!

The way forward is cycle shorts.

  1. You know what? I'm not a big girl but I've gifted with generous thighs (snort) and this is def a hack worth knowing cos my thighs ain't going nowhere ha ha xx

  2. I do this and so glad to know someone else does too! I wear tights or leggings and socks in winter, then leggings and sandals in spring, then as it gets warmer I have to wear cycling shorts under my dresses! An old pair of my leggings split on the inner thighs recently and I was reminded how painful it is to go "bare thighed" in the heat. I still haven't recovered! ;-) Great tip xxx

  3. Great tip! I'm always conscious about chub rub!

I do love comments and read them all, please be nice and tboughful to others x
