I'm feeling rather chilled about Christmas. If I haven't already done it, it's not getting done.
I'm going to the supermarket later, to pick up a few items. But, I'm totally calm, I really am!
With that in mind, I thought about the stress that some mothers get into, over the Christmas meal. So I wrote this little ditty, that goes with the 'Santa Claus is Coming To Town' Christmas song.
Enjoy:
********
She's making a list
She's checking it twice
She's bought the dessert
And she's put it on ice
Mommy dear is going to town
She's got a tall glass
She's filled it with gin
The sprouts are all peeled
And the Turkey's gone in
Mommy dear is going to town
She'll drink while they are sleeping
She'll eat while they're awake
She won't care if the Turkey's dry
She'll be pissed for goodness sake!
So you can pout all you want
She won't care if you cry
Just don't shout too loud
I'm telling you why
Hungover mum is coming to town
