A Happy Birthday

This is an emotional one to write, every year.

Today is a special day in our house. Christmas is almost over, for another year, and I seriously don't give a shit about the Next sale.

Nope, today is my handsome sons birthday.

My biggest.
My first.
The first one to show me that I could have children.

He's now 17. He can legally drive, and he did!

That's him, off for his first driving lesson.

He's an old soul, with a maturity rarely seen in teenagers. He's not a fan of people, in general. Rarely opens up to others, outside of the house (you can thank his, so called friends, from his school years, for that one).

I know one day others will see what an amazing, loving, caring person he is. Until then, I'm happy to keep him for myself.

Happy 17th birthday my handsome son.
Love you.

    1. Thank you. I hope it's only someone really special gets to see that side of him x

  4. Happy Birthday to your handsome Christmas baby. I know how emotional you must feel. I just wrote my Happy 15th Birthday post to my Christmas baby last Monday. Rather emotional writing it I must admit! xx
