I have worn some sort of pedometer for quite some time now. I'm a big fan of trying to track how active I am.
I know that may come as a surprise, seeing as I'm rather overweight. That's not me being mean, that's just stating a fact. I am not overly active, I try to exercise, but willpower and more are not on speaking terms!
Anyway, about 2 years ago, to fund my trip to Brit Mums Live, I started paying myself to walk.
I've decided too start that up again.
I need to lose weight, walking is great exercise.
We want to go abroad next year. We are considering the south of France, and after following Mama Owls trip this year, we are even more sure it's a good idea.
This is how it's going to work:
If I walk 5,000 steps a day I get £1
7,500 steps I get £2
10,000 steps I get £3
It's, roughly, 700 miles from where we live, to the south of France. If I manage 10,000 steps a day it roughly works out as:
Walking to France and back!
So to fund a trip to France next year, I am walking to France!
