Positive Meetings...

Did you miss me yesterday? Nope?! Humph!

Anyway, the reason for no post yesterday was.....I was busy.

I went to sewing class at 10 am, we were making a little bag yesterday, I didn't finish mine, but I will do. I will find time at home this week.....I really will!

The class finished at 12, so I had already planned to go out to lunch with my mum. It's only now, with the 3 boys in school, that I get a chance for some alone time with my mum. She still drives, so we aren't so limited where we go. However, yesterday, we went to the local town, and my favourite coffee shop/cafe. After a lovely lunch, and a wander around, she brought me back home in time for the school pick up.

This was the biggy part of the day. Today we were having a meeting, I was meeting with little A's teacher. As you know, I've been a little worried lately, wondering if school was the best place for him. I didn't really know what had been set in place for him this year and, as all of us with little ones know, picking up and dropping off time isn't the best place for that big a conversation.

Well after meeting properly with his teacher, my my fears have been well and truly laid to rest. They really have got him sussed, they know what works with him. He's not showing too much affection for one particular person, which usually means he's settled. He is working, they showed me some of the spellings he had done that day, and told me how he was spelling them out! *proud mama moment*.

They have also put my mind to rest about the lunch time, that he is with a couple of other children in a slightly smaller yard, with a  gate, in case he runs. AND speaking of running, they recognise that he needs to move, to learn. His teacher just lets him carry on.

All in all, it was a very positive meeting, I now know I am leaving him with people that DO understand him. The teacher has also explained that an updated Individual Education Plan will be there for me to see, at the next official parent/teacher meeting. This gives me even more confidence in her teaching, as I only learnt what this was.......last week on twitter!

Lets hope the good times continue! Just dyed my hair, in preparation for a friends engagement party, tonight!
Tomorrows Silent Sunday could be interesting!!
