I am still in the middle of my expensive month, with one child left for a Birthday! It does mean that I have to be super frugal at the moment.
I think money is tight for most of us at this time of the year, but I am incredibly proud of me and the Mr. We have left Christmas behind us, owing not a penny! My children were given money, although I don't actually give it to them until we go shopping or they see something they really want. I just find that the pennies dribble away if I give it to them in one go. So my eldest boy has £25 left, to go on a game when he sees it. My middle boy has all his money left, we shall have to wait and see with him!
The last birthday is little A. He has decided, from a visit to family and watching their son play, that he wants skylanders. I'm up for it, as it will give him and his brother something to play, brilliant.
So anyway this week, like I said, quite frugal. But reasonable healthy, with lots of hidden veg.
Tues: Spaghetti Bolognese
Thurs: Chicken roast, with pigs in blankets
Fri: Leftover chicken curry
Sat: Anything goes (2 eldest out with their nan for the day)
Sun: Faggots, peas, mash and gravy (this went down so well last week the boys asked for it again!)
Hope you're all recovering from the holiday season, and that the new year is looking good and thank you to the lovely Mrs.M for hosting this lovely linky.
