I seem to be either too busy or have something else to write.
So anyhow, here are my #R2BC this week......
1. My meeting with K's form tutor today. Its just basically to check everyone is happy with the options he's taken for year 10 and GCSE's. I have to say I am more than happy!! After his work started to drop a bit last year, probably because of his brothers, he's really worked hard this 1st 6 weeks back to school and his projected results at this stage are mostly B's. Well done K! We are looking into a cousin of his coming to visit next week, so he'll have a couple of days fun as a reward.
2. Also had a meeting with R's teacher yesterday, he had said something a little inappropriate in the play yard and been overheard, so the teacher just wanted to have a chat. No problem, he wasn't in any trouble she was just concerned as it was so unlike R. We think he may have overheard one of K's older friends say something a bit rude and copied! Any way, we had wanted to meet with his teacher, R's problems are not officially diagnosed, and I'm not sure I want to take that route. There are children that need a lot more assistance than R. As long as his teachers understand the situation, and can see if something is agitating him, he copes fine in school. I was really impressed with the teachers response to this, and the acknowledgement she gave.
3. My husbands health! My health is not the greatest, I have diabetes + related things that go with it. Also for the last week, my previously broken ankle has been in a lot of pain, making my back and opposite hip agony too. But my hubby has been a little worried about something recently. When I finally managed to get him to the doc the 1st thing that was mentioned, and tested for, was Cancer. I think the few days it took for that blood test to come back were the scariest of our lives. We couldn't talk to anybody for fear of making it real. It also made me realise just how much I depend on him..........and how much I absolutely adore him!! Thankfully the test was negative and other things are now being looked into, but nothing life threatening.........phew!!
Hope you've all had a wonderful week, and that you count your #R2BC

Hope you feel better soon too (I had gestational diabetes in my third pregnancy and even though it was just for those few months - i found it so hard, it made me realise how brave everyone else is who has to live with diabetes all the time).
