The lovely Becky, from Lakes Single Mum, is taking over the running of the Blog hop for December. I'm quite relieved, as life seems to have got really busy lately, go show her some support.
The month of December is quite tough in this house, autism and Christmas don't mix very well I'm afraid. It's quite challenging, keeping them calm when everything is changing, and routine is their life!
This is exactly why reasons to be cheerful is so wonderful. Remind yourself of the good.
1. The Power of social media. It's a little thing, but it meant a lot to me. Last Sunday I saw a man attempt to take his own life, and was unable to stop and help (you can read the post HERE). Thanks to the post I found out the man was ok. It's meant a lot to me, as the incident affected me quite badly.
2. A new Fitbit. I was devastated the other day, to get back from the school run and find my fitbit not in my belt clip. After a turbulent couple of days, it was the straw that broke the camels back. I absolutely broke my heart. Thanks to the fabulous Mr. Ojo, I ended up with a new fitbit, the Charge HR, and a day out of the house. He really is a saint for putting up with some of my crap!
3. December begins. As hard as Christmas is for our family, I still love the season. The trimmings have gone up gradually over the last week, or so, because I didn't want to overwhelm my boys. The magic fireplace is being built. The season is truly beginning!
