I've noticed a frightening trend on social media, lately. Anger, at other peoples parenting style.
Look up the David Beckham story, regarding his 4 year old daughter having a dummy. Or the mum who also breast feeds her friends child, whilst caring for him.
People get so damn angry about it! It's not even, just, the trolls anymore. It's everyone. Other parents ranting about how wrong it is.
Why is our business. My son kept his dummy for a long time. Granted he has special needs, my circumstances are different, but still, was it anyone else's business??
He is a happy, healthy and loved. From what I see, the same as DB's children. Do I think it's right, that she was walking around with the dummy, I don't know, because I don't know the circumstances of that day.
The woman that posted the picture of herself feeding her child, and her friends. Is it right? Well if all parents are consenting adults, who are happy with the arrangement, who are we to judge? Would I do it? No. That's irrelevant though, because it's NOT my child.
I have an answer to those that say: 'You're making a rod for your own back'
My rod, my back!
In other words, as long as a child is well cared for........IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.
Don't get me wrong, we're all entitled to our opinions. If these images inspire conversation, great, but leave the anger.
What do you think? Is there too much anger at other people's parenting?
Would love to hear your opinions.
