A Day Out. A very big Reason to be Cheerful!

Yes, you read that right. I had a day out! Well, more like an afternoon..........ok, a few hours

SHHHHH!

It was out, as in not in the house.

If you are not a regular reader you won't know that my house is now, pretty much, ruled by disability. My youngest and middle sons are on the autistic spectrum, and my husband has cartilage problems in his knees, along with bad arthritis in his knees and lower back.

So getting out of the house, as a family, has become quite difficult. When you add into the mix, my youngest HATES leaving the house, for any reason, it becomes almost impossible.

That is why, this weeks reasons to be cheerful is a bit different............because we got out.

We went to Bristol zoo, and what a fantastic day it was. It didn't cost too much to get in (I do get discounts, because of disabilities and caring), and there was just enough there for the boys to do, without getting overwhelmed.

So I thought I would leave you with my pictures of the day, hopefully they'll make you smile too.

We loved the Giant Bugs:

We loved the real animals:

We loved the family Time:

We mostly enjoyed silly time:

I hope you don't mind the, picture heavy, post! It is a really big deal for us to get out, if it doesn't happen again this summer, at least I'll have this day.

What's making you cheerful this week? Come share with me and Lakes Single Mum.
