Reasons to be Cheerful

The weather is, very quickly, melting me! I don't do well in this weather, and have fans in every room trying to keep me cool.

Saying that, I still love the sunshine, I just don't like being out in it. It's makes people smile. Which brings me on nicely to this weeks:

1. A new kitchen:
I do love a bit of purple! Now I have a LOT of purple. The rest of the kitchen is still a work in progress, but it's going to be lovely.

2. A giggle over baking:
I made a cake, on Sunday, like I always do. I think I may of added a little too much cocoa powder, as when I went to put it together.........it fell apart. We decided to call it a 'mud slide' cake. The boys still ate it all.

3. A night away. This weekend is my wedding anniversary and, thanks to Living Social, I'm spending it in a hotel. We shall be having a 2 course meal, a room for the night and breakfast. All for the bargain price of £79! What's not to smile about?

Don't forget to share what's making you smile this week, you know I love it!

  2. Enjoy your weekend break, it's even better when it's a bargain, isn't it? Love purple, I think I was thinking of your kitchen when I bought a purple top earlier in the week. And as for the mud slide cake, I think you should probably share the recipe, it sounds like a winner!

  5. Love the purple! You really are doing a house makeover aren't you? Have seen a fab house to rent and seeing it tomorrow - could have been designed for us and by the sea! Love the name of the cake and how wonderful you are to make a cake every week. I don't like the heat either but I can tell you that I am coping way better having shifted some stones this year even though such a long way to go yet but we can do this my dear, we really can. Have a lovely time with your husband - inspirational loving couple
