My boys make me proud every day. Anyone who knows me, as a parent, know how my face lights up when I'm talking about them, even when they are driving me crazy.
However, lately, they are achieving great things, which makes me even more proud.
My teen really struggled through Comprehensive school, I don't think anyone realised how much. By the time he had left he had basically cut himself off from everyone there. Even now, if I mention a name, he can barely recall them.
Since going to college he has blossomed. He has made new friends, with common interests. He is learning to drive. Most importantly, he is happy. This has shown up in his first year results, in the interactive media study course he's attending.
He has passed his first year with flying colours, including 4 distinctions and merit! I'm so proud of the man he is becoming.
Then, to top it off, this week we were invited to an award ceremony at the tweens school (the same Comp his brother went to). He was being rewarded for his achievements in Maths, ICT and Music, as well as a progress achievement in French.
All this from a boy who is seriously struggling to adjust to secondary learning, and the change in routines that has brought.
Can you imagine how he's going to be when he settles in?!
I'm waiting to get the little ones report, but I'm sure it will be just as glowing.
Because my boys are Awesome!
