Reasons to be Cheerful

It's weeks like this that reasons to be cheerful was originally started (by Michelle Twin Mum). One of those weeks where everything is going wrong, everything feels so damn hard!

So this week I am grateful that it exists, to remind me to look for the good, rather than focusing on the bad. I am also glad that it is in the hands of Becky, at Lakes Single Mum, this month. As I would have been, no where near, organised!

Reasons to be Cheerful

1. Mothers day. I'm not one for over exaggerated gifts, I just want them to think of me when (or if) they buy a gift. This year my teen took the lead, and got it bang on! He got my mister to chip in with him, so it was from all 3, to buy a fitbit one:

2. The completion of my stairs: Project house is still going on, granted my hubby can't do everything, as climbing ladders is not possible...........but that is what teenagers are for!!
Here is my completed stairs:
Funky and unusual........just like me!

3. Cardiff Comicon. This weekend me and the teen are off to the comic book convention. I'm not Cosplaying, as this is my first one, but I am hoping to get a picture taken with a few. I can't wait to see what it's like, I've never considered going before so I'm looking forward to the experience.

So that is me finding reasons to smile amongst the broken bones, hospital and vet appointments.

I do hope you all remember to find a little good, in each day, it really is worth it.

  1. Sorry it has been a hard week Jo but so glad yor kids are tuned in and got you what ou wanted. I've just invested in a new Fitbit too, my last one got water in it and broke! I love the fitbit so much more than fitbug and misfit which I've had too. Just over 18.000 steps today so I'm happy. Mich x

  4. These are the weeks when we need the linky most in my view. I know with your lovely OH that is the stairway to Heaven! and I think you and he both have what we used to call a Fit Bit back in the day. Have cared this week but have been a bit rushed off my feet. Will try to be a better friend in the days ahead
