Reasons to be Cheerful

Lucky Becky, from Lakes Single Mum, is back from sunning herself in Spain, and looking after the blog hop for all of November. Come join in, let's keep smiling in the run up to Christmas.

I really need to be finding happy thoughts today! Bonfire night did not go well. I could see the tween getting more wound up as the evening progressed, no one else noticed. It was like a car crash, that I was powerless to stop..........and boy did he crash! So I ended up with little A in with me for the night, too nervous to put him in with his brother (I don't think he'd hurt him, but I didn't want a domino effect with meltdowns either!).

So, reasons is coming from a rather tired Ojos World today.

Reasons to be Cheerful

1. Easy, my lovely hairdresser, Kahuna Hair. I had an appointment booked, before last night's chaos, but by this morning I really needed it! I went in, genuinely unsure of what I wanted. I want too grow my hair a bit, but I love the way she cuts it short. This is what she came up with:

I am over the moon, I'm sure she's psychic! She nailed it and I'm a very happy Ojo.

2. Sewing. I have a 4 hour Christmas craft lesson this weekend, making fairy decorations. I love the people from my sewing classes (who are running it), I would class the tutor as a new found friend. Everyone at the centre I go to is lovely! I'm really looking forward to it.

3. Feeling good. I am taking loads of medication, which is not a good thing! However, my new injections seem to be working, yay! I had a sugar reading of 5.5 the other day which, for non diabetics, is about average. That is a reading I haven't seen in 7yrs, since finding out I was diabetic during my last pregnancy. Also, I think I seem to be finally shifting some weight, several people have commented about it, in the past few days, bonus.

So that's my 1, 2, 3 for this week. What's making you smile this week? Come tell aunty Ojo.

  4. I am astounded at the change in you and not just the snazzy hair cut. Went for my blood tests today so hoping to find out where I stand on the diabetes front too. Having said that, I need to shift the stones whatever. Sorry Bonfire Night went badly - they are so very lucky to have your support and understanding

    1. I think a lot of it is down to my medication doing it's job. It's easier to feel positive, when you feel well. You'll see, when you get sorted xx
