Always find a Reason

This is a tough one to write this week.
Yes, I've been struggling with my depression, and some general health issues, but that isn't the reason it's hard.

Earlier this week an old friends daughter lost her fight with Cystic Fibrosis.

She was an utterly beautiful girl, who was always smiling.

My thoughts are with her mum, dad and brother, all the time.

It's so hard to write about cheerfulness, when your heart is aching for a genuine reason, but I do have one.

I am grateful for modern medicine.

It gave us 20 years of this beautiful girl.
It gave her the chance to be the inspiration she was.
It gave us a chance to understand more about this dreadful condition.

It gave her life.

So, today, walk outside and take a deep breathe for B, who is at peace now

  2. It is hard to imagine that even in our childhood children born with CF had little chance of living to adulthood. So glad she gave 20 years of memories to her family and friends.

  5. That is so sad. Her poor family. But good to find the positive that she lived for 20 years and was able to light up lives in that time. It's not so many years ago that she wouldn't have survives anywhere near that long. Thinking of you all. x
