Reasons to be Cheerful 05/06

It's June!? Already?!?!?!

I have been so wrapped up in my own little world, I even forgot I was in charge of the bloghop this month........shameful!

Anyway, despite feeling very sorry for myself of late, I have some great reasons to be cheerful this week:

1. My tweens class assembly. My sons primary school do regular class assemblies, that the parents can go and watch. They are normally about the subject they are covering that term. This term they are covering the 60's, and the assembly was about the change that was brought about by Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King (I know, an amazing lesson to be teaching children). The whole class did a fantastic job, that included singing and dancing.
But seeing my 11 year old son stand up and recite the Martin Luther King 'I have a dream' speech, will be a memory to hold for a very long time!

2. My tween running. Yes, my tween again, it's been his week I think! He did the local Park run for the 1st time this week. You can read all about it, in full, here: Park Running
A fantastic morning out, that is definitely being repeated!

3. Dresses! I found a bargain, in Cardiff:

Yes, I bought 4. Can you guess how much they were????
£6 each
A bargain always makes me cheerful.

Now it's over to you, come join in the blog hop, if you blog (and grab the badge, if you choose).
If not, share your reasons to be cheerful with me anyway, across one of the social networks you'll find me on.

OMG - cannot imagine how very moving number 1 was for you. How wonderful that they are celebrating Rosa Parks too who so often does not get a proper mention. See you soon
