Reasons to be cheerful

So many bugs in this house this week! No ones particularly cheerful!

All the more reason to look for those silver linings I suppose!

So here are this weeks reasons.....

1. Christmas.
Of course it's a reason to be cheerful!! Little A is going to be a king in the class concert (if I can get him well enough to go back to school). RJ has a solo singing part in his concert, the teacher said he had been hiding his talents. He is over the moon! KJ is still bouncing! He's barely sleeping he's so excited, then, to top it off, he turns 15 the next day.....15......when the hell did I allow that to happen!? So plenty to smile about in this house.

2. The 1st (very light) snowfall.
I know that some people detest snow, and I do understand the reasons. However, this gentle little splattering got all my children out of bed on time this morning! That's the first time this week! With little A having this nasty, chesty cough, no one had been sleeping particularly well, especially me! And now, despite my flu jab, I seem to be coming down with something. So to have all my boys up by 8am this morning was a-maz-ing. Also, if the snow gets heavy enough to stop the buses, my hubby gets to stay home = a very happy me!

3. Ice age! (The film, not the actual event) it has been just about the only thing to keep little A still! Even though he's unwell, he's still stimming like crazy. This makes his cough ten times worse. So I am very thankful to Manny, Sid and Diego this week........oh and not forgetting scrat, who is little As favourite character.

So that's this weeks 123. What yours? Join in the blog hop or leave a lovely comment.

  5. Snow and Christmas go together perfectly :) Are you and the children hoping for a White Christmas? I wouldn't mind a dusting in the day itself, but after that it would just be a nuisance!

  6. we got very excited at the first snowfall the other day too! I love snow these days as the boys are homeschooled there is no pressure to battle our way through snow to school so we ca njust relax and enjoy it. I still remember the bad experience of a 5 min journey to school taking 2 hours in the snow and then 2 hours home and then they phoned to pick up as they decided to close the school after all. THen another year my car got stuck in snow on school run and i had to be dug / pushed out the snow and then slid onto a main road and couldn't stop because the road was so icy. So glad I don't have to worry about all that at the mo. x
