R2BC

I've been feeling quite positive this week, even with little A being unwell for a few days.

With that in mind, here are this weeks Reasons to Be Cheerful...

1.  My parents. I'm very lucky to have both parents, and one grandparent, still going strong. My mum has had her all clear after having breast cancer 5 years ago. She is an incredible woman, fiercely independent, and a lovely grandparent to my boys. She gives them the most precious thing she has........time. Also my dad, who turned 70 yesterday! Despite various health issues most days he will still move around around like a man no older than 50! Don't get me wrong he doesn't always have the energy, but it gives me such pride that I carry these 2 sets of genes in my body xx

2.  Autism. Yes that ones shocked you hasn't it!? Because of my sons autism his sickness has been very easy to deal with this week, he doesn't get the panic of being being sick. The first time it happened, he didn't fully understand what was happening, at almost 5 he's never vomited before! After the that he quickly realised that being sick makes you feel better. He kept saying 'ow' before, then after he'd say 'I'm ok now'. Simple! During the following days he stayed a little under the weather, but he was his usual happy self as nothing was hurting, my lovely special boy xx

3.  School. I am finally adjusting my days, finally figuring out that I have Time! I love having my boys around......I'm also loving that it only takes me 30 minutes to polish and hoover, then it stays that way!! I'm loving that I can have a go at different crafts, that I can cook. And starting next week, I can go for a swim......whenever I want. Lovely xx

Happy week everyone...

  2. Fantastic reasons. I can particularly identify with the first one. Having the love and support of the two people who bought you into the world and them being around to share your life is wonderful. x

  8. This brought a huge big fat smile to my face. What a wonderful thing it is to do - to focus on the positive, despite the difficulties you must face daily. I presume you've come across Ann Voskamp's book One Thousand Gifts? If not, get it on your Christmas list - NOW! Sx
